EMERGING MAYFLY

The fly fishing season has just started and this year I have decided to bring my Canon with me to document the bug life in my waters. The goal is to create educational and well documented photography as a source for inspiration for fly tiers. I really am not an entomologist but have a practical approach to bug life, fly tying and fly fishing. Here are some  shots from two different situations, and two different flies. One nymph getting ready to emerge, and then the emerging mayfly. Pics are shot on Saturday June 11th 2016, in Hedmark municipality in Norway. It’s a slow running river with a river bed primarily with stone and sand.
